Before you publish: this is a working draft written to a sensible standard, not legal advice. Have a Cyprus-qualified lawyer review it and fill in the placeholders marked TBC — company registration number, registered address, and your Data Protection Commissioner details.
The short version
As shipped, this website sets no cookies at all. There is no analytics tag, no advertising pixel and no embedded tracker. If that stays true, you do not need a cookie banner.
The moment you add analytics, a chat widget, an embedded map or a booking tool, that changes — and under the ePrivacy Directive as implemented in Cyprus you will need prior consent for anything that is not strictly necessary. This page is written so it is ready for that.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. They let a site remember things between page views — a session, a preference, or that you have already dismissed a message.
Categories we would use
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function, for example remembering that you have set your cookie preferences. These do not require consent.
- Analytics — help us understand which pages are read and where visitors drop off. Set only with your consent.
- Functional — power optional extras such as an embedded map or live chat. Set only with your consent.
- Marketing — used to measure advertising. We do not currently use any, and would ask for consent before we did.
Third-party content
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts and photographs from Pexels. Those requests reveal your IP address to those providers so the files can be delivered, but neither is used here to set a cookie. If you would rather avoid the requests entirely, the fonts and images can be self-hosted.
Managing cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its settings. Blocking all cookies may break parts of some websites, though it will not break this one.
